Clarkwood Software wants you to be happy when you use and buy our products. That’s why all of our downloadable Mac OS X products can be downloaded (free!) and tried before you buy!

But if you’re not satisfied, please contact us to let us know how we can do better, and we’ll try to help.

Our downloadable Mac products have a thirty-day money-back guarantee: let us know if you want a refund within thirty days of purchase, and we will initiate the refund process for you.

Upgrade Policy for Mac OS X Products

Our upgrade policy is not set in concrete; we may adjust it in minor ways, and as we do so we will update this page.

We want to be transparent about our guidelines, though.

We refer to minor releases as updates. A product version going from 1.0 to 1.1 or 2.4.3 to 2.4.4 is an update. Updates are free.

Major releases are upgrades. When a product goes from 2.4 to 3.0, for example, we refer to this as an upgrade.

Generally, when we release upgrades to our downloadable Mac products, recent purchasers get it free. Historically, we’ve offered free upgrades to people who have purchased in the last three months.

We also typically offer a low-priced upgrade for people who have bought earlier versions of the upgraded product. Our upgrade offers have typically been around 50% of the new-purchase price.
