September 28, 2000 -- Clarkwood Software announces the immediate availability of BinkJet v2.5. For $20, which is less than the cost of a print cartridge, BinkJet enables the use of Hewlett-Packard's DeskJet 600, 800, and 900 series printers with BeOS R5.0 and later. BinkJet v2.5 is a free upgrade to all registered users of BinkJet. BinkJet v2.5 supports 45 printer models, adds support for multiple languages with English and German being the first two and makes some great improvements.
Improvements in Version 2.5:
- Improved stability for transferring data to the printer.
- Fixed a margin bug in the 600 series printers.
- New support for the DeskJet 640, 642, 648.
- New support for the DeskJet 843 and 935.
- New support (USB only) for the Apollo brand printer models P2100, P2150.
- New support for the Apollo brand printer models P2200, and P2250.
